Pullman Kuching welcomes Year of the Horse with new festive menu, room reveals

KUCHING, 24 January 2026 – Last night, Pullman Kuching hosted its annual Lunar New Year appreciation night that brought together corporate and industry partners, travel agencies, and media guests for an evening of festive cheer and exciting reveals.

Themed “The Golden Horse Homecoming,” the event gave guests an exclusive first look at the hotel's 2026 Lunar New Year dining offerings while capturing the warmth and togetherness that defines the season.

“Lunar New Year is when families come together and the table becomes the heart of every celebration. The Year of the Horse symbolises forward movement and renewed energy, which mirrors the journey we are on as a hotel. As we continue our transformation through 2026, this festive season reflects what it means to check in where Kuching rises, a place where people gather, connections grow, and the city's energy comes to life,” shared General Manager of Pullman Kuching, Sunardi Song.

Refreshed spaces

Prior to the appreciation dinner, members of the media were taken on an exclusive tour of the hotel's newly refurbished spaces and, for the first time, some of the transformed guestrooms.

The refreshed rooms showcase a contemporary warm minimalist style with a serene palette of creamy neutrals and light wood tones, beautifully punctuated by accents of slate grey and terracotta orange. The sleek, clean lines of the joinery are thoughtfully softened by textural elements such as plush ottomans and warm ambient lighting, creating a sophisticated environment that is both modern and inviting.

We personally love the thoughtful integration of sustainability in all the rooms. Motion sensors eliminate the need to insert cards to activate power. Open wardrobes create a spacious feel, while drinking water comes in sustainable glass bottles and filtered water available straight from the tap. Amenities like the safe, minibar, and iron are cleverly hidden from plain sight to maintain clean aesthetics. Prayer mats are provided for Muslim guests, and bathtubs are available in all room types.

With the festive season approaching, Pullman Kuching invites guests to gather around the table and welcome the Year of the Horse together.
