STIDC supports underprivileged students from 10 schools at 2026 Iftar Gathering
100 students from 10 schools across Kuching received contributions yesterday during STIDC 2026 Iftar Gathering.

KUCHING, 8 March 2026: Sarawak Timber Industry Development Corporation (STIDC) hosted its 2026 Iftar Gathering at the Borneo Convention Centre Kuching (BCCK) yesterday, which was attended by Deputy Minister for Urban Planning, Land Administration and Environment Sarawak, Datuk Haji Len Talif Salleh.

This year’s Iftar Gathering aims to not only strengthen bonds among staff members but also highlight corporate social responsibility through the distribution of festive contributions to underprivileged children (asnaf). This initiative aims to bring joy and assist with their preparations for the upcoming Hari Raya Aidilfitri celebrations.

A total of 100 students from 10 schools across Kuching received the contributions, namely students from Sekolah Rakyat Jalan Haji Bolhassan, SK Merpati Jepang, SK Pajar Sejingkat, SK Kampung Senari, SK Matu Baru, SK Rakyat Tupong, SK Rakyat Astana, SK Goebilt, SK Pulo and SK Gersik.

The contributions were presented to the children by Datuk Haji Len Talif Salleh and his wife, Datin Hajah Asiah Haji Awai. This annual initiative highlights STIDC’s commitment to helping the underprivileged and sharing the blessings of Ramadan with the local community.
