Wings of Unity: New AirBorneo logo revealed

KUCHING, 21 August 2025: AirBorneo, Sarawak’s own airline, proudly unveiled its official logo ‘Wings of Unity’ earlier today, marking a significant milestone in the airline’s mission to connect Sarawak with the world. Besides the logo, the airline also unveiled the tagline ‘Borneo For You’, a reflection of AirBorneo’s vision of purposeful travel, cultural celebration and bridging public and business communities across continents.
The design is inspired by the flow between the natural world and the cultural heartbeat of Sarawak in Borneo. Inspired by nature’s elements, the logo embodies the freedom and connection of air, innovation and new pathways of rivers and the humble roots of Sarawak’s heritage that honours the past whilst embracing the future. Together, these elements of nature form a visual identity that speaks of harmony, resilience and progress, all of which are values at the core of AirBorneo.
Today’s unveiling was attended by the Premier of Sarawak, Datuk Patinggi Tan Sri (Dr) Abang Haji Abdul Rahman Zohari bin Tun Datuk Abang Haji Openg, who commended AirBorneo as a statement of confidence in Sarawak’s place in the global landscape. “The airline will play a pivotal role in advancing the state’s Post-Covid-19 Development Strategy (PCDS 2030) through improved ASEAN air links, job creation, improving infrastructure, supporting SMEs and contributing to achievements of economic growth targets. These initiatives collectively aim to position Sarawak as a vibrant economic hub in Malaysia and the region,” said the Premier.
“The logo is more than a design, it is in substance a promise to connect Borneo to the world, and the world to Borneo, with authenticity, inclusiveness and purpose,” said Sarawak State Secretary and Chairman of AirBorneo Holdings Sdn Bhd, Datuk Amar Haji Mohamad Abu Bakar bin Marzuki, who also noted that the brand reflects the Premier’s vision for enhanced regional connectivity, economic growth and cultural pride.
AirBorneo will take over and expand on the services provided by MASwings, offering both full-service routes and essential Rural Air Services to remote communities. With a focus on quality service and a deep connection to local heritage, the airline’s brand identity incorporates elements of Sarawak’s colours and motifs, symbolising the region’s unity and diversity. Through the unveiling, AirBorneo cements its role not just as an airline, but as a cultural bridge and storyteller of the skies — uniting heritage with modern aviation, and carrying the pride of Borneo into global horizons.
