The United Nations (UN) Pavilion, under theme “United for a Better Future”, brings together 35 UN entities and 15 Un Secretariat departments and offices to highlight 8 decades of impact and current efforts to achieve the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), address global challenges, and humanitarian crises, as well as share UN’s vision of a sustainable future which is possible only through collective action and multilateral collaboration.
The UN Pavilion, with its distinctive blue façade and prominent SDG wheel, is located within the Empowering Lives zone at the South Avenue. It is made of 4 zones, where visitors can experience interactive exhibits, educational workshops and even bring home UN-themed products! The Pavilion is also hosting rotating temporary exhibits alongside weekly events and the permanent exhibit.
The ‘Timeline Wall’ presents a historical perspective on key milestones from UN’s 80 years of existence, including features and items related to the work of 35 UN entities and 15 UN Secretariat departments and offices. It also highlights Japan’s engagement with the UN, including peacekeeping, humanitarian aid, development, climate actions and human rights.

Right opposite the ‘Timeline Wall’ is a miniature replica of the Peace Bell, which stands at the United Nations in New York as a gift from the Japanese. Visitors can learn more about the Peace Bell and its message of peace, and even ring it themselves.

In the ‘Orb Room’, everyday objects are placed around the room, revealing the works of the UN family around the world. From luggage tags and globes to compasses and maps, these objects recount stories of UN’s impact, showcasing how the UN, through agencies like the UN Environment Programme and UN Development Programme, affects lives on the ground through efforts in promoting sustainability, climate action and access to clean energy around the world.

The highlight of visitors’ experience is the ‘Immersive Theatre’, where a short video of UN Secretary-General, António Guterres is played. In the video, he calls upon all of us to work together, sharing his vision of a future where people everywhere can live in peace, dignity and equality on a thriving, healthy planet.

Aside from the permanent exhibitions, the UN Pavilion also hosts a number of exhibitions and events, as part of rotating temporary exhibits and special Theme Weeks. Both informative and immersive, the UN Pavilion is open from 9.30am – 9pm daily, offering a window into the organisation’s work around the world.
