KUCHING, 24 January 2026: We had the pleasure of attending The Waterfront Hotel’s exclusive Media & Content Creators Sneak Peek Night yesterday evening, where we got a first-hand preview of the upcoming ‘Sungkei Sitok Juh!’ Ramadan Buffet ahead of its public opening. Inspired by the lively atmosphere of traditional Ramadan bazaars, this year’s concept brings together familiar local flavours, festive favourites and the warm spirit of togetherness at Café Via Mare, Level 4.

One of the highlights of the evening was a live on-stage culinary sharing session by Executive Sous Chef, Chef Afiq, who introduced a selection of his standout dishes while sharing the inspiration behind each creation. A group of award-winning chefs, Chef Afiq and his team showcased remarkable dishes that reflect the essence of a Bazaar Ramadan—comforting, generous and rooted in local taste—receiving positive response from guests in attendance.

Adding excitement to the Ramadan dining experience is The Waterfront Hotel’s festive campaign, “Stamp, Post & Win!” Guests dining at Sungkei Sitok Juh! can collect stamps, share their dining moments on social media and tag the hotel to earn lucky draw entries. Each completed postcard equals one lucky draw entry, with attractive prizes including complimentary 2-day-1-night stays and breakfast buffet vouchers.

In the spirit of giving during the holy month, The Waterfront Hotel Kuching is proud to carry out its corporate social responsibility (CSR) initiative, “Singgah Sitok Lok, Ambik Bubur Lambok”, in collaboration with Masjid Bahagian Kuching.
