The Band Lab delights shoppers with ‘Christmas: For Good’

Over 90 performers were part of The Band Lab’s ‘Christmas: For Good’ showcase. 

KUCHING, 21 December 2025: Shoppers at tHe Spring Shopping Mall here in Kuching were treated to a spectacular showcase of vocals and orchestral music yesterday evening, titled ‘Christmas: For Good’. The hour-long event, organised by The Band Lab in collaboration with GSC Cinemas, Century Music School and Miya Dance Studio, featured a total of 7 show-stopping performances, made possible with over 90 performers, including musicians, dancers, vocal ensembles and soloists.

The event kicked off with a stunning rendition of ‘Over The Rainbow’ by talented young singer, Taylor Louise, followed by a series of songs from the Wicked musical. With vocal powerhouses Chien Ng as Elphaba and Christine Chai as Glinda, the pair performed beautiful duets on the cascading staircase at The Spring’s 2^nd Floor space, including the dramatic ‘What is This Feeling’, ‘One Short Day’, and the heartfelt ‘For Good’. 

As Elphaba, Chien Ng performed notable renditions of the musical’s iconic numbers, including ‘The Wizard & I’ and ‘Gravity’, while Christine Chai’s Glinda brought on the dramatic flair with ‘Popular’. Together with backing vocals from The Voice Lab and live instrumental from The Band Lab, the performances were made even more thrilling with dancers from the Miya Dance Studio.
