Swinburne Sarawak holds first Open Day of 2026
Prospective students and their families exploring different programmes offered by Swinburne Sarawak.

KUCHING, 24 January 2026: The Swinburne University of Technology Sarawak held its first Open Day of the year earlier today, just in time for the 2026 implementation of the Sarawak Government’s Free Tertiary Education Scheme (FTES).

Prospective students and their families can be seen exploring different paths for tertiary education at the campus’ Borneo Atrium, including different sections for Foundation, Diploma and Postgraduate programmes as well as Bachelor’s degrees in Business, Arts, Information Technology, Engineering and Design.  


Besides inquiries on programmes offered by Swinburne Sarawak, prospective students also had the chance to explore the campus during the Open Day, as well as engage in interesting talks on scholarships and financial assistance options. 


Swinburne Sarawak holds first Open Day of 2026
Today’s Swinburne Sarawak Open Day took place at the airy Borneo Atrium from 10AM to 4PM. 

Jointly owned by Swinburne University of Technology Australia and the Sarawak Government through Yayasan Sarawak (Sarawak Foundation) and Sarawak Higher Education Foundation, Swinburne Sarawak is one of 4 state-owned higher learning institutions involved in the FTES. Ranked in the top 1% university globally by QS World University Rankings 2024, Swinburne Sarawak offers tech-improved teaching and learning aligned to meet the demands of the 4th Industrial Revolution, high graduate employability rates as well as flexible study options.
