Sarawak to showcase exclusive deals at MATTA Fair in Sept 2026

KUCHING, 26 August 2026: Travellers planning a Sarawak holiday can enjoy savings of up to 40% on selected Sia Sitok Sarawak holiday packages, available exclusively at the Sarawak Pavilion during MATTA Fair September 2026 from September 4 to 6, 2026.

The Sia Sitok Sarawak Campaign will be available through participating Sarawak travel agents at the Sarawak Pavilion, Booth 1A10, Domestic Hall, Level 1, Malaysia International Trade and Exhibition Centre (MITEC), from 10am to 9pm daily throughout the three-day fair.

The Sarawak Pavilion will bring together 30 exhibitors, comprising 20 trade exhibitors, including tour operators, accommodation providers and tourism product owners, alongside 10 non-trade exhibitors showcasing Sarawak’s arts, culture, handicrafts, food and beverages.

Adding to the value for travellers, AirBorneo will highlight its Sarawakku Sayang fares for travel between Kuala Lumpur and Kuching, starting from RM375 all-in for a one-way Economy Class ticket, inclusive of airport taxes and fuel surcharges.

Through the participating travel agents, visitors can expect a wide selection of holiday experiences across southern, central and northern Sarawak, ranging from short getaways and family holidays to cultural journeys, wildlife encounters, rainforest adventures, highland escapes and longer multi-destination itineraries. Packages will feature destinations including Kuching, Sibu, Mukah, Bintulu, Miri, Niah, Mulu and Bario, giving travellers different ways to explore Sarawak according to their interests and preferred travel style.

For travellers looking to experience more of Sarawak within a single holiday, participating agents will also offer longer itineraries connecting destinations across the State. Packages combine accommodation with other travel components such as tours, ground transfers, meals or flights, depending on the selected itinerary. Beyond the holiday packages, visitors can experience a taste of Sarawak at the Pavilion through cultural performances, demonstrations and interactive activities, alongside showcases of local arts, crafts and flavours. The Pavilion will also spotlight the Borneo Jazz Festival, bringing Sarawak’s music and festival experiences into the wider showcase and reflecting the State’s Culture, Adventure, Nature, Food and Festivals (CANFF) pillars.

“Sarawak offers very different experiences from one region to another, and we want travellers to see that there is always more to discover beyond the places they may already know. Sia Sitok Sarawak brings these experiences together in a way that makes planning a Sarawak holiday easier, while supporting our local tourism partners who bring these journeys to life,” said Sarawak Tourism Board Chief Executive Officer, Dr. Sharzede Datu Haji Salleh Askor in a press statement, adding that the campaign is an opportunity to encourage travellers to look beyond the familiar and discover more of Sarawak.

The September edition marks the second leg of the Sia Sitok Sarawak Campaign at MATTA Fair Kuala Lumpur in 2026, following its first outing in April.  Its return also comes at a timely moment as geopolitical uncertainties continue to shape travel choices, with travellers placing greater emphasis on value, accessibility and experiences closer to home.

With diverse multi-day journeys, greater connectivity and attractive travel offers, Sarawak gives travellers more reasons to discover something distinctive within Malaysia.  Sarawak’s presence at MATTA Fair September 2026 also complements Visit Malaysia 2026, encouraging Malaysians to explore the diversity of destinations and experiences available within the country.
