The tournament trophy was officially presented to Sarawak Premier, Datuk Patinggi Tan Sri (Dr) Abang Abdul Rahman Zohari Tun Datuk Abang Openg during a handover ceremony held at the Satria Pertiwi Complex earlier today.
The delegation was led by Sarawak Minister for Youth, Sports and Entrepreneur Development, Dato Sri Haji Abdul Karim Rahman Hamzah, alongside MYSED Deputy Minister, Datuk Gerald Rentap Jabu, Sarawak Golf Association (SGA) Chairman, Hoan Kee Hock and SGA Secretary, Dato Thomas Tieng.

Speaking to the media, Gerald said the championship will feature promising young golfers representing Indonesia, China, Bangladesh, Thailand, Myanmar, Vietnam, Sri Lanka, Brunei Darussalam, Malaysia and Singapore, who noted that the event is open to amateur junior golfers exclusively.
According to Hoan, competitors will be divided into four age categories, covering players aged between eight and 16 years old. Only the top junior golfers chosen by their respective countries will be eligible to compete. He also highlighted that the championship is recognised under the World Junior Golf Ranking System, allowing participants to earn valuable ranking points that contribute to their global standings.
