MUMBAI, 1 September 2026: ITB India 2026 has officially opened its doors today at the Jio World Convention Centre, bringing together over 3,000 travel trade professionals, including more than 400 qualified buyers and 100 exhibiting brands from around the globe for 3 days of high-level business networking, knowledge sharing, and strategic collaboration.

Running until September 3, the 4th in-person edition of the premier B2B trade show serves as a critical gateway to the rapidly expanding Indian and South Asian travel markets, connecting international suppliers with key decision-makers across the Leisure, MICE (Meetings, Incentives, Conferences, and Exhibitions), Corporate Travel, and Travel Technology sectors.

Exhibitors this year span key destinations and global brands across Southeast Asia, South Asia, Europe, Africa, Northeast Asia, and South America, including prominent names such as MakeMyTrip, Indian Hotels Company Limited (IHCL), Visit Maldives Corporation, Sarawak Tourism Board, Philippine Airlines, DoubleTree by Hilton Jakarta Kemayoran, Columbia Pictures Aquaverse, and the oneworld alliance.

“India and South Asia continue to offer significant opportunities for the global travel industry, and the international participation at ITB India this year reflects the strong interest we continue to see in these markets,” said Executive Director of Messe Berlin Asia Pacific, Darren Seah. “By connecting global suppliers with qualified buyers and combining commercial exchange with industry insights, networking and senior-level dialogue, ITB India offers a valuable B2B marketplace where new relationships and ideas can develop into long-term business.”

Running alongside the exhibition is the ITB India Conference 2026, which features 4 targeted tracks, Knowledge, MICE & Corporate, Travel Technology, and Experiential Travel across the Knowledge & MICE Theatre and Tech & Experience Theatre. Key panel discussions address pressing industry trends, from digital transformation and evolving traveler behaviors to balancing tradition with innovation in hospitality.

A major highlight of this year's event is the inaugural ITB India Leadership Roundtable, launched in partnership with global strategy consultancy Simon-Kucher. The invitation-only, closed-door session gathers senior executives, investors, and policymakers to discuss destination competitiveness, infrastructure investment, public-private partnerships, and India’s dual role as a top destination and powerful outbound source market.

The event’s outreach is further bolstered by an extensive network of leading industry associations, including the Travel Agents Association of India (TAAI), Outbound Tour Operators Association of India (OTOAI), Network of Indian MICE Agents (NIMA), and the Association of Domestic Tour Operators of India (ADTOI).

Beyond the show floor, attendees can build lasting connections through structured networking events, including the Day 1 ITB India Happy Hour and the returning Day 2 Cruise Capsule, a dedicated afternoon session focused on unlocking opportunities within South Asia's growing cruise market.

Travel trade professionals, tour operators, MICE specialists, and industry stakeholders looking to tap into South Asia's dynamic tourism ecosystem are invited to participate in ITB India 2026.
