SANTUBONG, 27 January 2026: Damai Beach Resort officially previewed ‘Ronda-Ronda Damai’, its Ramadhan Berbuka Puasa offering last Friday, inviting media partners, industry guests and clients to experience a culinary journey inspired by tradition, local flavours and the spirit of togetherness.
Held in a serene poolside setting overlooking Mount Santubong and the South China Sea, the preview showcased the resort’s commitment to creating meaningful Ramadhan experiences that go beyond food.
“Ramadhan is a special time for reflection, togetherness, and gratitude. It is also a time when food carries deeper meaning — not just to nourish the body, but to bring families, friends, and communities closer,” said General Manager of Damai Beach Resort, Anthony Lasong during the preview.
The concept of Ronda-Ronda Damai draws inspiration from the familiar joy of berjalan-jalan cari juadah, encouraging guests to move from one station to another while discovering flavours, stories, and culinary traditions from across the region.
This year, the culinary teams from Damai Beach Resort and Damai Lagoon Resort have collaborated to curate an extensive buffet spread, featuring highlights such as the Malaysian Panggang Grill with ikan bakar, satay, and freshly prepared sambal, alongside the Thai Yang Corner and Middle Eastern specialties including Mandi and Kuzi pit with slow-roasted meats and fragrant rice.
Live stations serve comforting favourites such as laksa, mee rebus, soto, tom yum, and bubur lambuk, complemented by crowd favourites like nasi briyani gam, rendang, gulai ayam, and fresh ulam-ulaman with a variety of sambal choices. The dessert section recreates the charm of a traditional Ramadhan bazaar, offering kuih-muih, local cakes, warm desserts, and refreshing treats like ais kacang and cendol.
“What we hope guests experience is not just variety, but care — in the selection of dishes, the balance of flavours, and the way food is prepared and presented, staying true to tradition while ensuring quality and consistency,” he added.
Ronda-Ronda Damai will be available every Friday, Saturday, and Sunday throughout Ramadhan, allowing guests to break their fast under the open sky as the sun sets, surrounded by nature and a peaceful resort atmosphere.
The Berbuka Puasa buffet is priced at RM 128+ for adults, RM 88+ for senior citizens, and RM 58+ for children aged 4 to 11 years, with an Early Bird adult rate of RM 98+ available until 10 February 2026. Guests booking via the Insiders Club App will also enjoy 20% savings and reward points.
