BorneoTalk is currently in Germany for the prestigious ITB Berlin. And today witnessed the handing over of BorneoTalk’s latest issue (Vol. 67: Jan-Mar 2023) of its quarterly magazine to the representatives of ITB Berlin in a simple ceremony that celebrates BorneoTalk’s partnership with ITB Berlin as one of its official international media partners. BorneoTalk proudly represents the State of Sarawak as an official media at the world’s leading travel trade show, which is taking place from March 7-9, 2023 in Berlin.


BorneoTalk’s Chief Commercial Officer, Ashley Pan presented the magazine to ITB Berlin’s Marketing & Brand Manager, Teresa Baumgarten and Marketing & Product Manager, Felicia Dominguez Stein. Minister of Tourism, Creative and Performing Arts Sarawak (MTCP), Dato Sri Haji Abdul Karim Rahman Hamzah witnessed the handover ceremony. Also present to witness were Deputy Minister for Tourism, Creative Industry and Performing Arts I, Datuk Sebastian Ting Chiew Yew, Karim’s wife, Datin Sri Hajah Zuraini binti Abdul Jabbar, Permanent Secretary to the MTCP, Datu Sherrina Hussaini, Chief Executive Officer of Sarawak Tourism Board, Sharzede Datu Hj Salleh Askor.


The latest issue of the BorneoTalk magazine was presented in a specially curated gift package featuring exquisite hand-made Sarawak products under the Stirring Up Borneo (SUB) social enterprise brand, a testament to BorneoTalk’s commitment to showcasing the best of Sarawak to the world, and at the same time uplift and give back to the single mothers and sole breadwinners who masterfully create these beautiful crafts.
