Angola makes ITB berlin debut

BERLIN, GERMANY, 3 March 2026 - Angola launched its national pavilion at ITB Berlin 2026 this morning on the opening day of the world's most prestigious travel trade show. What makes this moment truly significant is that this is Angola's first-ever participation in ITB Berlin, and the country arrives not as a newcomer finding its feet, but as the official host country of this landmark edition.

Located in Hall 21, Stand 211, the Angola pavilion brings together 26 exhibitors representing the very best of what this extraordinary destination has to offer — from tour operators and hospitality to conservation and adventure. The pavilion launch took place at the stand itself, marking the beginning of what promises to be a milestone week for Angolan tourism on the European stage. Trade professionals, travel buyers and media attending ITB Berlin are invited to visit Hall 21 and experience Angola's diversity, ambition and warmth first-hand.

And there is much to discover. Angola is a country of remarkable natural variety — wild Atlantic coastlines, sand dunes rising more than 100 metres above the ocean, waterfalls of astonishing scale, and ancient rock formations that draw comparisons with some of the world's great natural wonders. Rare species such as the giant sable antelope still roam freely, while the rhythms of kizomba bring the cities to life. For travellers drawn to places that still feel genuinely under the radar, Angola offers world-class landscapes and cultural richness without the crowds.

The timing of Angola's European debut is no coincidence. President João Lourenço has approved a €449 million public investment for tourism infrastructure in key destinations including Cabo Ledo, Quicombo and Namibe, and in 2025 Angola was recognised as the Best Tourism Investment Destination by the Global Tourism Forum. The country is ready — and ITB Berlin is where the world gets to find out.

Hall 21, Stand 211. Angola is waiting.
