KUALA LUMPUR, 27 November 2025 – PROTON, Malaysia’s national carmaker, delivered the automotive shockwave of the year today when they launched the All-New Saga with a price point that instantly elevated the model to an unrivalled status. The launching event, themed “Four Esteemed Decades, a Future Without Limits”, which was held at the Malaysia International Trade and Exhibition Centre (MITEC) here, celebrated the Saga as a national symbol representing Malaysia’s enduring pride and industrial progress. The most awaited moment of the event was the announcement of the prices, which revealed that the All-New Saga will start from an incredible RM37,990 inclusive of a launch rebate worth RM1,000. This unbelievable price point applies to the All-New Saga 1.5 Standard variant in Peninsular Malaysia (after rebate). The Premium variant, packed with top-tier features, is priced at RM48,990 after rebate in Peninsular Malaysia.

With prices this low, the announcement was a real treat for those who are looking for an affordable option that packs a whole lot of class-leading features. This combination of value and technology instantly catapulted the sedan to the top as an unrivalled A-segment contender, befitting its status as an iconic national car.

A NEW ERA FOR A NATIONAL ICON

The historic official launch of the All-New Saga marked the most significant evolution of Malaysia’s best-known automotive nameplate since its 1985 debut. The ceremony was officiated by Minister of Investment, Trade and Industry (MITI) of Malaysia, Senator Tengku Datuk Seri Utama Zafrul Tengku Abdul Aziz.

FEATURES THAT JUSTIFY THE HYPE

The All-New Saga, launched under the tagline “Intelligence That Thrills,” blends Impressive Performance, Comprehensive Safety, Optimised Intelligence, and Next-Gen Styling (I.C.O.N).

Despite the accessible price, the sedan boasts features typically found in higher segments:

Safety: It offers six SRS airbags and nine Advanced Driver Assistance System (ADAS) features, protected by the Proton Reinforced Safety Structure (RESS).
Technology: The sedan features a new 16-inch Integrated Dual Screen supporting wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto connectivity.

STYLE AND SUBSTANCE

After the launch event yesterday, guests were given the opportunity to view the new Saga in all its brilliant colours, including the iconic Ruby Red and the sensational Marine Blue (which looks sensational, by the way), as well as Space Grey, Armour Silver, and Snow White.

The new design features a Sulaman Songket-inspired front grille, a nod to Malaysian craftsmanship, along with Full LED Projector Headlamps and a Full LED Rear Tail Light bar.

The immense excitement surrounding the launch is backed by customer confidence, with over 20,000 bookings already secured before the official announcement. Deliveries to these early booking customers are scheduled to begin immediately after the launch.
