AirAsia hosts ‘Lan Sungkei’ iftar gathering with media and officials

KUCHING, 6 March 2026: AirAsia hosted the ‘Lan Sungkei’ Iftar Gathering yesterday evening at the Raia Hotel & Convention Centre, bringing together media personnel and government representatives for a night of meaningful appreciation and goodwill, in conjunction with the Ramadhan season.

About 100 guests were part of yesterday evening's event, which took place at the Convention Centre. Aimed at strengthening ties between AirAsia and local media practitioners and state government officials, the ‘Lan Sungkei’ Iftar Gathering saw a meaningful gathering and an evening of networking, reflecting the values of connection during the fasting month. 

‘Lan Sungkei’ with AirAsia is organised annually in Sabah and Sarawak as a gesture of appreciation for the airline’s partners. Also present yesterday evening were Deputy State Secretary, Datuk Seri Dr. Muhamad Abdullah Zaidel, AirAsia’s Director of Sarawak Affairs, Hamdan Mohamad and Tourism Malaysia Sarawak Regional Director, Rubiah Tul’Adwiyah binti Haji Md Yusof.

Guests were treated to Raia Hotel & Convention Centre.
