#RWMFxProtonX70 Challenge: Winner Nur Farah Ain binti Kamshul from Kuching danced her way into the spotlight, taking home a brand-new Proton X70.
Kuching, 29 September 2025 – The excitement of the Rainforest World Music Festival (RWMF) 2025 didn’t end with its three-day celebration at the Sarawak Cultural Village. The festival continued to create unforgettable memories with the Skills Contest Prize Giving Ceremony, where two lucky winners had their dreams come true.

The contests were presented in collaboration with Diamond Sponsors and Official Airline Partners, Malaysia Airlines and Firefly, and Platinum Sponsor PROTON. Winners were selected based on creativity, authenticity, originality, and integration of Culture, Adventure, Nature, Food, and Festivals (CANFF) — the pillars of Sarawak Tourism.

The prize-giving was even more meaningful for Nur Farah Ain, who not only won the Proton X70 but also celebrated her birthday on the same day, making the occasion doubly special.

Meanwhile, Malaysia Airlines’ winner Lau Hui Hua will soon embark on an extraordinary journey, experiencing Paris while enjoying the warmth of Malaysian Hospitality from the moment she boards her flight.

Looking ahead, the ceremony also unveiled the dates and theme for the next festival: RWMF 2026 will return from 26–28 June 2026 at the Sarawak Cultural Village with the theme “Regenerations: Roots & Rhythms”, celebrating traditions passed down through generations and reimagined through modern creativity.

With over 200 performers from 20 countries and contests engaging global audiences online, RWMF continues to position Sarawak as a vibrant destination of culture, creativity, and sustainability.
