The Everly Lhesson Kuching officially opened by Sarawak Premier
KUCHING, 6 October 2026: The Everly Lhesson Kuching was officially opened today by the Sarawak Premier, Datuk Patinggi Tan Sri (Dr) Abang Haji Abdul Rahman Zohari bin Tun Datuk Abang Haji Openg, marking a vibrant new addition to Kuching’s hospitality landscape.

Today’s launching took place at the Grand Lhesson Ballroom on the 5th Floor, after ribbon-cutting ceremony at the hotel’s concierge. Guests were serenaded with live entertainment from At Adau, The Origin Percussion, Sulendang Tari and The Band Lab, before the Sarawak Premier and other distinguished guests took to the stage to officially launch the hotel.
“As Kuching continues to win more bids as a venue for conferences, business events, international programmes and large-scale events, hotels and accommodations are in demand,” said the Sarawak Premier in his officiating speech. “In the long term, Sarawak is set on making Kuching a central aviation hub in Southeast Asia, thanks to the city’s capability in connecting ASEAN countries as well as parts of East Asia within 6 hours of flight time.”
In his speech, the Premier emphasised the need for quality accommodation ahead of major events such as the 2027 SEA Games, calling for the strengthening of Sarawak’s accommodation capacity, as Kuching’s existing capacity of 13,000 hotel rooms is still insufficient.
