SIFMA 2022: Music that illuminates

SIFMA 2022: Music that illuminates

The Sarawak International Festival of Music and Arts (SIFMA) is back!

SIFMA’s main aim is to bring together the community in the dynamic field of music and arts, so that they can come together to inspire and ignite a passion for the creative arts, be it as a hobby or a professional career!

This year’s SIFMA will feature two illuminating nights of music and arts, and features live performances from both local and international acts including the likes of award-winning pianist, Dr. Gilbert De Greeve, the Halili Cruz School of Ballet from the Philippines, the Sarawak Chinese Ensemble, La Danse Studio from Kuching, Sarawak Cultural Village and Malaysian classical pianist, Esme Wong, with more acts to be updated soon!

SIFMA is organised by the International Music House (IMH) in Kuching, which has been a prominent feature in the Kuching musical landscape since opening their doors in 1978. From humble beginning on the ground floor of a corner shoplot, IMH quickly rose to prominence and is now the one-stop education centre for students to learn music through various musical instruments such as the piano, guitar, violin, drums and even vocals! By maintaining a high standard of quality assurance, IMH has garnered a reputation as the leader in the musical art scene, with collaborations with distinguished musicians and music consultants from all over the world.

SIFMA is supported by the Sarawak Ministry of Tourism, Creative Industry and Performing Arts as well as Sarawak Tourism Board. This year’s SIFMA will take place on December 3 and 4, 2022 at the State Legislative Assembly building in Kuching, Sarawak.

What are you waiting for? Grab your tickets now and enjoy SIFMA’s celebration of music, dance and arts!
