Sarawak to host inaugural Asia Pacific Aerospace Conference & Exhibition

KUCHING, 7 January 2026: Sarawak will be hosting the inaugural Asia Pacific Aerospace Conference & Exhibition 2026 (APACE 2026) from 27 to 29 January 2026 at the Borneo Convention Centre Kuching (BCCK), marking a significant milestone in positioning the state as an emerging aerospace and aviation hub in the Asia Pacific region.

APACE 2026 is jointly organised by the Ministry of Education, Innovation and Talent Development Sarawak (MEITD) in collaboration with Borneo Business Connect Sdn Bhd, with support from Business Events Sarawak (BESarawak). The event will bring together policymakers, industry leaders, academia and global players to foster collaboration, innovation and talent development within the aerospace and aviation ecosystem.

Premier of Sarawak, Datuk Patinggi Tan Sri (Dr) Abang Haji Abdul Rahman Zohari bin Tun Datuk Abang Haji Openg said the event reflects the state’s strategic focus on leveraging its geographical advantage while strengthening Sarawak’s role in the regional aerospace value chain.

“Sarawak wants to take advantage of its strategic location to position the state as a regional hub for aerospace, particularly in maintenance, repair and overhaul (MRO) and the manufacturing of aerospace components. This is why talent development is key,” he said.
