KUCHING, 19 May 2025: Sarawak’s business events industry is set to make a powerful return to IMEX Frankfurt 2025, set to take place in Messe Frankfurt from May 20 to 22, 2025, further solidifying Sarawak’s position as a top-tier, impact-driven business events destination.

With ‘Impact’ continuing to be the talking point for IMEX Frankfurt this year, the annual exhibition places emphasis on uniting the global events community in addressing pressing challenges for economic, social and environmental issues. Business Events Sarawak (BESarawak) is all geared up for the theme, as the Sarawak Pavilion aligns perfectly with this mission, showcasing the industry’s commitment to driving social and economic impact through business events.

Key highlights to expect at this year’s pavilion include the AI.LEGACY Intelligent Impact Management System (A pioneering tool developed in collaboration with Universiti Malaysia Sarawak (UNIMAS), AI.LEGACY helps event planners measure and report the long-term impact of business events on communities, ensuring sustainable benefits), Legacy360 (A platform dedicated to advancing business event legacies, bringing together government officials, industry leaders, and community representatives to discuss strategies for economic, social, and environmental transformation) and the Borneo Inspires Legacy Awards (BILA) (BILA recognises outstanding contributions in the business events sector, celebrating individuals and organisations that drive positive change in Sarawak’s communities through knowledge-sharing and economic development).

“IMEX Frankfurt is a cornerstone event for Sarawak to showcase our unique strengths as a business events destination. This year, we are doubling down on our commitment to legacy, sustainability, and innovation — values that align seamlessly with the global theme of 'Impact.' Sarawak’s Post COVID-19 Development Strategy 2030 (PCDS 2030) will take centre stage, demonstrating how business events can drive transformative change for our communities and economy,” said Minister of Tourism, Creative Industry and Performing Arts Sarawak, Dato Sri Haji Abdul Karim Rahman Hamzah.

"With the Sarawak Pavilion, we aim to inspire and attract international corporate meetings and incentives markets, while reinforcing our position as a leader in legacy-driven business events. IMEX Frankfurt is the perfect stage to amplify Sarawak’s voice and contributions to the global business events community as well as legacy impact." This year’s IMEX Frankfurt marks a defining moment for BESarawak,” explained Chief Executive Officer of BESarawak, Amelia Roziman.
