KUCHING, 9 October 2025: Hock Seng Lee (HSL) recently unveiled a new resort-themed showhouse at Precinct Grande, the third phase of HSL’s exclusive gated community La Promenade. Grande comprises 17 superior bungalows and 76 innovative duplexes and Semi-Ds, spread over an area of 20 acres.
The unveiled showhouse is part of Grande’s 3-storey Duplex Resort option, which shares the basics of Duplex Modern and Classic but with added privacy on Level 3 for the master home owner. It offers 4,080sqft of walled-up space, and is the largest unit ever fully fitted out, with every bedroom dressed, all appliances installed and working, and mature pre-grown trees in addition to the unit’s private home life, elderly-friendly bathroom and an en suite bathroom on the ground floor.
“We re-planned key areas to frame garden view and chose furniture to complement the resort character, rather than relying on off-the-shelf pieces. Furniture were all imported, and every joinery is custom made. On top of that, all wooden floors are real wood – solid merbau in fact – and all stones are natural, not manufactured,” added Studio Objects of Affection principal, Amily Voon, who led the interior design team.

According to HSL, only 20 homes in the resort series will be built, with bare units starting from RM2.8 million and completion expected within 9 months. During a pre-sales preview for existing HSL buyers and clients, around half a dozen units of the latest duplex were sold, with similarly sized duplex release at La Promenade at least 3 years away.
“HSL wanted extra private space for the homeowner, so we designed the entire third floor of the Resort Duplexes to function like a private condominium. Step out of the lift into a single, luxurious suite with bedroom, study, reading nook, walk-in wardrobe and a his-and-hers bathroom – over 1,000 sq ft on its own,” shared Precinct Grande engaged architect and master planner, David Ong.

Under his masterful eye, Grande was created with green living in mind, with open greens accounting for 17% of the precinct and average density is only 4.7 homes per acre, bringing forth La Promenade’s vision of landscape-first planning. Grande will have 50% more open spaces than typical housing estates, with a trio of visually arresting linear parks, ‘tunnels and hills’ playscape, plenty of canopy cover from trees as well as beautiful and highly usable landscape furniture.

“Every home enjoys a shared garden either to the side or rear, adding greenery and privacy between neighbours. Grande also features our largest clubhouse to date, which will include a 26-metre saltwater pool. The clubhouse, gym and function rooms are exclusive to Grande’s 93 homes, ensuring privacy,” said Head of HSL’s Property Department, Tay Chiok Kee. These facilities, as well as an external meeting point along La Promenade’s main boulevard, are aimed at inspiring imaginations among the residents.
The Resort Duplex showhouse is open daily from 10am to 6pm. For guided tours, call +6013 836 5566.
