KUCHING, 6 November 2025 - It’s official: Sarawak has found its funny bone! Laughter is echoing through concert halls and comedy clubs in the State, thanks to the trailblazing efforts of Front Row Entertainment Sdn Bhd. Front Row was founded in 2020 with a dream to elevate Sarawak’s live entertainment scene, starting first with music concerts, including the Queen Tribute Concert, Dancing Queen, Boney M 50th Anniversary Tour, and Live in Miri – Wali in Concert. Front Row has now done something no one saw coming: it’s turned Sarawak into a comedy powerhouse, and not just a stop on the tour.
Their newly launched Front Row Comedy Sentral (FRCS) is proof that Sarawak is ready to host the best in stand-up, sketch, satire, and storytelling. From Douglas Lim – Made in Malaysia to Laugh Queens and the wildly successful Kumar Fifty:50, which sold out three shows and drew over 2,000 fans across Kuching and Miri respectively, FRCS has proven that Sarawakian audiences are hungry for world-class comedy and ready to claim their seat at the table.
Now, Front Row is closing the year with a bang, bringing two comedy titans to Kuching: Harith Iskander, Malaysia’s godfather of stand-up, with his show Agi Idup Agi Ngelaban on Nov 23, and Hindra Bose, the rising star whose show Smell Like Curry hits the stage on Dec 5. It’s a double bill of wit and wildly relatable humour - and it’s happening right here in Sarawak.
Backed by the Ministry of Tourism, Creative Industry and Performing Arts Sarawak, and fuelled by a passionate team, Front Row is not just importing talent but also cultivating it. The company is working hand-in-hand with comedians, musicians, and creative organisations to build an ecosystem where laughter is serious business.
And with Harith Iskander and Hindra Bose set to close the year, the company is proving that comedy has a place here, and that Sarawakian audiences are ready to embrace it.
