Francisca Luhong’s crowning dream

As days leading up to Miss Universe Malaysia 2020 e-Gala night approach, the finalists strive ever harder as they make their individual journey to the top, vying for the national crown and later represent the country at the international leg of the pageant. One potential is Francisca Luhong James, the only Sarawakian to make the Top 18 finalist.

Sarawak’s Pride

Francisca, a 24-year-old Public Relations & Marketing Executive and part-time model, is a Dayak native with rich mixed roots in the Kayan-Kenyah-Iban lineage.

A huge advocator for women empowerment, Francisca believes that women can reach greater heights when they support each other. This is evident through her Women Rise (https://www.instagram.com/womenrise.my/) movement. Besides that, she’s also actively #StirringUpBorneo by doing charity work in the rural areas of Sarawak.

Note: #StirringUpBorneo is a hashtag created by BorneoTalk for our Stirring Up Borneo campaign, where we engage with the community to stir each other in kindness, passion, talent, culture, sustainability and more.
