DBKU International X-Games and Canroll Pro Urban Sports Festival to bring together over 200 extreme sports athletes at the Kuching Waterfront this April 8 to 12, 2026!

KUCHING, 31 March 2026: Extreme sports lovers! The DBKU International X-Games 2026 is happening this April 8 to 12, 2026 at the Kuching Waterfront, in collaboration with the Canroll Pro Urban Sports Festival, bringing together over 200 extreme sports athletes for 5 days of adrenaline-pumping action!

Organised by the Kuching North City Commission (DBKU) and Canard Group, with support from Sarawak’s Ministry of Tourism, Creative Industry and Performing Arts (MTCP) and Ministry of Youth, Sports and Entrepreneur Development (MYSED), the DBKU International X-Games 2026 is in its third edition and is part of the Urban World Series, making it the first stop of the year for UWS, and the second time it’s being held in Asia.

“Following the success of the 2024 and 2025 editions of DBKU’s X-Games, the 2026 X-Games will be held on a grander, more prestigious scale,” shared Dato Sri Haji Abdul Karim Rahman Hamzah, Minister in charge of both MTCP and MYSED, during a press conference in Kuching earlier today.

Themed ‘Unleash the Action’, the X-Games not only reflects the bravery, creativity and skills of extreme sports athletes, but also celebrates the active and dynamic lifestyle of the youth in Sarawak. Beyond the competitions, the festival serves as a movement for community connection and regional unity, fostering a healthy, active lifestyle while providing a platform for cross-border collaboration among athletes and young creators.

A total of 8 sports will be contested in the event, including Rollerblading, BMX Flatland, BMX Stunt, Jet Skiing, Skateboarding, Breakdancing, 3X3 Street Basketball and Pickleball, with local and international athletes from France, South Africa, Brunei, Singapore, Indonesia and Thailand expected to join in the action.

Besides witnessing these sports live, members of the public can also join in on the fun, with skateboarding and rollerblading workshops being held throughout the festival, as well as live music, food vendors and ‘youthpreneur’ zones.

“DBKU is looking to expand beyond urban development, and to include urban sports in our growth towards becoming an urban city. Looking to the future, we hope that after a successful DBKU International X-Games 2026 and the Canroll Pro Urban Sports Festival, we will be able to play a more proactive role in activating more events such as this in our city,” added Kuching Norty City Mayor, Dato Haji Hilmy bin Haji Othman.
