DBKU International X-Games 2026 officially launched

KUCHING, 11 April 2026: The DBKU International X-Games 2026, held in collaboration with the Canroll Pro Urban Sports Festival was officially launched by the Minister of Youth, Sports and Entrepreneur Development Sarawak, Dato Sri Haji Abdul Karim Rahman Hamzah earlier today.
Held from April 8 to 12, 2026 at the Kuching Waterfront, the highly anticipated event is a vibrant celebration of urban sports that blends athleticism, creativity and culture. Successfully held twice before, the DBKU International X-Games has expanded beyond thrilling land-based competitions like BMX, skateboarding and rollerblading to water-based events like jet ski racing.
“The growing global interest in extreme sports is undeniable, and Sarawak is proudly riding this wave. More importantly, this event serves as a vital platform for our local athletes to showcase their talents on the international stage, while fostering meaningful exchanges of skills, ideas and experiences with participants from around the world, be it from Singapore, Thailand, Indonesia as well as Malaysia and definitely, Sarawak,” said Dato Sri Abdul Karim in his launching speech.
Also in attendance at the launching, the Deputy Director Community Services of the Kuching North City Commission, Rudzaimeir bin Malek representing the Mayor of Kuching City North, Deputy Permanent Secretary of the Ministry of Youth, Sports and Entrepreneur Development Sarawak, Dolhadi bin Haji Marzuki, Director of the Ministry of Tourism, Arts and Culture (MOTAC) Sarawak, Debbie anak Jenggut Nyelang, Director of Tourism Malaysia Sarawak, Rubiah Tul’Adwiyah binti Haji Md Yusof, Deputy Director of Tourism Malaysia Sarawak, Kevin anak Robert Bidi and Founder of Canroll Urban Sports Festival, Nik Mohd Suhaily bin Bahari.
