KUCHING, 16 July 2025: BMW Motorrad Malaysia successfully concluded its first-ever Borneo-Brunei Ride 2025, a thrilling 4-day expedition across Sabah & Sarawak that brought together passionate riders from West Malaysia, Singapore, Thailand, Brunei and Borneo.

On Day 1, 34 BMW Motorrad riders representing a mix of models and regions were flagged off from Regas Premium Auto Sabah in Kota Kinabalu, Sabah, where they cruised through the cool highlands towards Kundasang, stopping at a scenic lunch at Benjamin before continuing to Keningau. The group grew to 35 riders as they made their way from Keningau to Brunei and onward to Miri and took a more focused group of 10 riders from West Malaysia, Thailand and Singapore from Miri to Bintulu, before reaching Sibu.

The final leg of the journey saw the group travel from Sibu to Betong before concluding in Kuching with a celebratory dinner at Lepau Restaurant, bringing together 20 riders, Dealer Principal of Regas Kuching, Josephine Tay, BMW Motorrad Certified Instructor, Faizal Sukree from FS ADV Asia as well as some local riders.

The entire ride, which spanned approximately 2,000 kilometres, marked a significant milestone for BMW Motorrad Malaysia, not just in the distance covered but in the camaderie shared across cultures and countries. BMW Motorrad also extended their heartfelt thanks to everyone involved in the journey, including Regas Sabah Head of Sales, John Lee and General Manager of BMW Motorrad Brunei, Alisa Khoo.

“This programme is more than just a ride, as it also serves as a platform to strengthen friendships and camaraderie while making new experiences and experiencing the beauty of the states. In our next edition, we hope to organize another one in West Malaysia, and maybe another bigger, better one in Borneo once we’ve received additional feedback from our riders,” shared BMW Motorrad Marketing Manager, Audrey Tan.

“Our journey, from Miri to Kuching particularly, was smooth and safe thanks to the completion of the Pan Borneo Highway in those parts. Along the way, we thoroughly enjoyed the sights and foods on offer and even met some friendly people along the way. Overall, we’re very happy that the journey has been completed successfully, without any incidents,” said BMW Motorrad Certified Instructor, Faizal Sukree from FS ADV Asia.
