2025 Korea Travel Mart strengthens tourism ties between Korea & Malaysia

KUCHING, 4 October 2025: The 2025 Korea Travel Mart took place yesterday afternoon at the Imperial Hotel in Kuching, bringing together key players in the tourism industry for one day of dedicated business networking.
Organised by the Korea Tourism Organisation, the 2025 Korea Travel Mart hosted a selection of Korean sellers, including inbound travel agencies, local governments like Gangwon, regional tourism organisations like Busan Tourism and Jeju Tourism, as well as airlines like AirAsia. Meanwhile, attendees of the event include Malaysian travel professionals, including outbound travel agencies, corporate partners and MICE specialists.
“So far, in 2025, we have welcomed a total of 183,000 Malaysian visitors to Korea, which saw an increase of 6.5% in comparison to the same travel period last year. By the end of 2025, we expect the numbers to reach around 330,000,” shared the Managing Director of the Korea Tourism Organisation, Moon Sangho during the event.
