2-night tribute concert to songstress Teresa Teng happening in Kuching

Hosted by Evac Holdings Group Sdn Bhd and its subsidiary, Luxe Entertainment, with support from the Teresa Teng Foundation, the Sarawak Ministry of Tourism, Creative Industry and Performing Arts and the Sarawak Tourism Board, the 2-night event is the result of a successful bid which started back in October 2024, when the Executive Director of Evac Holdings Group Sdn Bhd, Michael Liong was invited to attend a showcase at Shanghai’s Majestic Theatre.

This was announced earlier today during a press conference at the Sarawak Club in Kuching, which was graced by the Minister for Tourism, Creative Industry and Performing Arts Sarawak, Dato Sri Haji Abdul Karim Rahman Hamzah and his Deputy Ministers, Datuk Sebastian Ting and Datuk Snowdan Lawan. 

“I would like to take this opportunity to thank our partners at the Teresa Teng Foundation in Shanghai. Your trust ensures that we are able to deliver world-class experience that honours the Eternal Queen of Asian Pop, with the dignity she deserves. With this tribute concert, Sarawak will be playing host to international delegates and tourists from across Asia and beyond, this coming July,” shared Michael Liong in his opening speech. “We are committed to making this concert a resounding success, not just as a music event, but as a showcase of Sarawak’s capabilities to host a world-class international production.” 

The concert is set to feature internationally acclaimed vocalist, Hu Die, a seasoned performer with over 100 concerts worldwide. Renowned for her delicate and expressive vocal style and endorsed by Teresa Teng’s family as a worthy singer to carry on her legacy, Hu Die brings authenticity and emotional depth that closely reflects the spirit of the legendary songstress.
