Have you ever ordered nasi lemak and thought, “This nasi lemak needs more sambal” or “This is a child’s portion!”, or something like that? Don’t worry because you’re not alone.
If you love nasi lemak to bits and one just won’t do, but two is too much, then Nasi Lemak Ganja has the answer(s) to your dining dilemma.
Head over to Kubah Ria food court for a taste of this absolutely delicious Malaysian dish. The stall number is 22, right at the corner as you enter the food court section through the centre atrium of the Kubah Ria complex. Nasi Lemak Ganja is also usually the most patronised food stall so yes, it is fairly easy to find.
There are loads to choose from in Nasi Lemak Ganja’s menu, but we highly recommend trying the normal Nasi Lemak Ganja first. At just RM7, you’ll get a good portion of fragrant coconut rice, generously topped with a heaping spoonful of their delicious homemade spicy sambal, crunchy salted fish, half of an egg, cucumber and a large piece of fried spiced chicken thigh or drumstick.
Wanna make it more special? Add another RM3 and opt for beef lung sambal, chicken gizzard sambal or calamari sambal, or RM4 for prawn sambal, prawn petai sambal or cockles sambal. And if that’s not enough, you can opt for Daging Masak Kicap, Sotong Goreng Berempah or Ayam Masak Merah among other side dishes, in place of fried chicken.
What about the taste? Nasi Lemak Ganja’s coconut rice is fluffy and fragrant, the sambal is spicy but not set-your-mouth-on-fire spicy. It’s bordering perfectly balanced in its sweetness, spiciness and “shrimpiness’ (if there’s such a word). The chicken is well done without being overcooked and is oh-so-flavourful. The portion is definitely huge enough to make big eaters happy and the dish is just addictive to the max. So taking these into consideration, yes the name Nasi Lemak Ganja is just so fitting.
