Eating your way around Langkawi in 2022

The island of Langkawi is a popular beach destination, for good reason! With its duty-free status, stunning landscapes, turquoise waters and historical legends, it’s no wonder this archipelago of 99 islands is one of the most visited places in Malaysia. Langkawi has many treasures, but one underrated gem is its diverse cuisines!

With a mix of Malay cuisine as well as neighbouring Thai influences and the influx of Western tourists, Langkawi offers a stunning array of delectable gastronomy and we’re here to help you to the island’s best eats!

10 things to do in Langkawi in 2022

1.  Cili Kampung

The hype is real! Whenever you visit Langkawi, one of the most recommended spots is Cili Kampung, and for good reason! With a relatively small menu of only five different types of mains with your choice of protein, Cili Kampung serves up authentic Negeri Sembilan cuisine derived from the owner’s own family recipes, but elevated. We highly recommend their Smoked Beef Masak Lomak and their Ayam Masak Kicap!
