Rainforest World Music Festival: What do we miss about it?

July has always been a big month for Sarawak. It is the month of festivals, including the world-renowned Rainforest World Music Festival (RWMF). Folks from all around the world look forward to attending RWMF in July, partaking in a massive weekend filled with music, dance, arts, crafts, food and more. Held consecutively for the past 22 years, RWMF is being put on hold this year given the current COVID-19 situation affecting world nations.

Celebrating Pustaka’s Growth, 20 Years and Counting

From 11 pioneer officers since the beginning of its operation on 2nd January 2020 to 183 staff, Pustaka Negeri Sarawak has grown tremendously for the past 20 years. Recently on Jan 4th, the Library just held its Chairman’s Annual Address and Appreciation as a toast to commemorating to the lengthy milestone.

STB relentless in promoting Sarawak at WTM London

Sarawak is making its presence felt internationally, and this could not have been possible if it weren’t for the continuous unrelenting efforts by Sarawak Tourism Board (STB) in promoting Sarawak to the world. As part of their promotional efforts, STB went together with Tourism Malaysia to the World Travel Market (WTM) in London, an international travel trade show held from Nov 4-6, which attracts over 51,000 attendees and some 5,000 exhibitors from around the world.

ITB Asia returns, bigger and better.

The prestigious trade show opened this morning to bring under one roof a record-breaking number of exhibitors of more than 1,300 from all over the globe, and more than 1,250 buyers. This makes it yet another record-breaking event since it was first held.

Ditch plastic, save Earth

Science Magazine in 2015 rated Malaysia as one of the worst countries for plastic waste. In 2010 alone, we produced almost three million tonnes of plastic waste. And the number has all but stopped growing.
